4Using for temp seal in a rentalJul 21, 2013
By Greluk
First off, I'm using this to help me seal up my windows in an apartment I'm renting. (I'm that guy with the tinfoil over the windows.. In fairness though, I work nights, and it helps to insulate the room.. perhaps I should do the walls and ceiling in tinfoil..)

Anyhow, main reason for getting this was to make a seal around the windows to prevent as much light/air seepage (I don't use that word often enough.. looks funny) as possible. Unfortunately, given the nature of physics, whenever the door is used, a vacuum effect is created, pulling air from any place it can in the room, ie. the windows I've covered in tinfoil. the tape holds fairly well, and reseals easily enough, but will pull loose every couple of days.

Mind you, this is masking tape, priority number one was that I not damage the paint and wind up having to repaint my room. To this end, it has been wonderful, and given the task at hand, it has also performed quite well at keeping the seal tight even through repeatedly patting it down to reseal. I doubt you will find a masking tape that is safe on paint but withstand that kind of abuse.

Other than this, the tape itself feels rather thin, It was easy to cut with an xacto knife (I hate their spelling.. It should be exacto really, but that's not the point of this review) and it doesn't leave any terrible gunk (Thus far I've not run into a masking tape that does, but it would terribly defeat the purpose if it did.

Anyhow, good product, what more can you ask of a masking tape really?

5MANY USES IN MY HOMEMay 21, 2012
By Lucy Hamm "Gus Ryan"
I use Masking tape as my home as labeling tape. I use it to label the foods I put into my freezer. The tape stick tight while in the freezer. I use it to secure other items in my home during a day's activities. This tape is a STAPLE in my home and this brand is the best I have found, after years of using other brands of Masking Tape. Will repeat order when needed... as I use it up quite quickly.

4Nice, thick tape--kept paint off of our house, but...Sep 18, 2013
By Brian
Did not stick terribly well on all surfaces that we were trying to protect. Stuck well on wood and metal, but our vinyl siding took a little work to get it to adhere. Otherwise, went on just fine. Taking it off led to some tearing, but that's fairly typical in my experience with many of the painter tapes. Overall I would recommend.

5You want wide?Sep 19, 2012
By Craig Richard Gillette
If you want wide masking tape, you get it out of this bad boy. It is 3 inches wide, and looks great for use in my condo renovation DIY project. From taping plastic tarps, to edging when I paint.
