CHEAP PLASTIC CRAPJun 02, 2010 IF YOU THINK YOU'RE GETTING THE SPRING STEEL CLIPS WITH RUBBER COATING, THINK AGAIN. THESE THINGS ARE SHINY BLACK BRITTLE LOOKING PLASTIC!
Handy productApr 22, 2010 These were a replacement for a set I had bought years ago and one had broken.
I really like these brackets as they allow me to keep my Mag lite flashlight in a conspicuous spot and allow easy removal when needed.
My only concern is that they do break after a couple of years. I'd like to see a softer more flexible plastic used in their construction, thus ensuring a longer lasting product.
Of course with the reasonable price I feel they are still a good buy.
Great Value!Mar 11, 2010 Then instructions for this product tell you to mount both clamps for one flashlight. Unless you use the flashlight all the time you only need to mount one. I have mounted 4 flashlights in stragitic areas in the house. We have had two power outages since and my wife loves the fact that she knows exactly where the flaslights are! Very easy to mount.
FunctionalDec 04, 2009 The contact is tight and I can see how the bracket would break over time.. For me however, the flash lights are being stored in a cupboard and only used in emergencies. I have only needed to remove the light twice and both times I was careful taking it out and back in.
I am not sure I would recommend these for everyday use.
Also, I only used 1 clip per light. It is sturdy enough that you do not need both.
For me, they were perfect for my requirements.
This clips TIGHTNov 13, 2009 These hold extremely tight. I hang flashlights vertically and only use one clip per flashlight. It's plenty secure.
