Simple Strong Safe and SecureJul 18, 2010 I purchased this item from another source a couple of years ago. I carry a tactical flashlight 7 days a week. This is the only holster I have used that is 100% reliable! I am pretty rough on my duty gear and yet I expect this to outlast several of the cases and holsters I use. this is the only holster I wear every day.
I have used a lot of this manufacturer's products over the last few years none have let me down. The price is great and I just ordered a few to give to friends and employees.

Good for few select flashlightsJun 07, 2010 Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R10CVHD3MXEQO Can't imagine fitting larger flashlights in holster. I have 1" diameter, smooth flashlight that has to almost squeeze in it. Holster does work for my flashlight and my needs. Very secure hold.

A good fit for my Fenix TK-40Feb 16, 2010 I'm using this item with my Fenix TK40 High Performance Cree LED Flashlight, Maximum 630 Lumens.
It is extremely well-made, of good, solid materials. The clip (a Nite-Ize signature attribute) is solid, rugged, will hold tight but is relatively easy to remove. Quality-wise, this item is first rate, and it is exactly as advertised.
With my Fenix TK-40, this is *not* a quick-draw holster. I am not a LEO ... I value security over tactical characteristics ... especially considering the price ($150) of a TK-40, so it is exactly what I wanted, in that regard. So if you are a cop, military, or otherwise need instant access to your TK-40, this might not be the item for you. This limitation, it seems, is more due to the characteristics of the TK-40 than the holster ... it would provide instant access to, say, a C-cell, or perhaps a D-Cell, MagLite, or probably any other light that is smooth enough to slide in and out of the holster (though sacrificing some of its security).
Actually, to be clear, it isn't really that difficult to get my TK-40 out of the holster ... it's just really, really tough to get it back in ;)
A nice addition, though, would be a flap/strap to cover the lens of the light. In my case, and, I suspect, with other lights, it's not necessary to keep the light in the holster, but it would be nice to protect the lens of the light (the TK-40 lens is glass).

"The Keeper"Oct 06, 2009 An awesome holster for the line of work i'm in... At heights of 300ft inside wind turbine towers when items must remain securely attached and easyly accesseble this holster out performs the cheap holsters that come with high end flashlights (surefire/fenix). I purchased my first holster at REI sporting for my surefire E2D.. It has a "military/Police" type feel to it, the clip is made heavy duty along with the elastic and the sheath itself.. When i'm climbing up the wind turbine tower i wear a safty harness, i clip it to my chest strap and i'm able to rotate the holster 360degs allowing me to point it up at 45degs or down at 45degs when going down tower... It almost appears that Nite Ize custom made this holster for these/size flashlights.. I no longer own the surefire (way over rated), i gave away to a good friend of mine to allow myself the justification of purchasing a Fenix T40 (dollar for dollar, Fenix hands down/above Surefire, almost half the price!!)... some flashlights have an external grip ring, on the Fenix it comes with a "spacer" so you can remove the ring.. With the ring, (used for a shooting position/grip)it is almost impossible to insert.
the only problem i have, on the clip it has a "barb" like device that makes it difficult to remove from your pants (waistband or pockets)..
I just ordered a Fenix 4, and to my surprise Amazon carries these holsters!! i'm ordering 2, wanna make it right for my buddy's surefire...

A nice designFeb 25, 2009 It's supposed to accommodate small and large diameter flashlights. But at first, I had to struggle with it just to get a AA flashlight to fit in it. I was hesitant to insert my C cell flashlight for fear of damage...but with just an extra little 'shove', the holder stretched sufficiently for my c cell light. It's a tight fit for sure, and not a quick-draw device, but it certainly holds my flashlights securely.
