Didn't work for meAug 23, 2010 YMMV. I think this sort of thing is going to be highly individual in its effectiveness. It didn't work for us. After a bit over a week, the collar was removed and went in the trash.

Great item!Aug 12, 2010 I have a very highly strung chihuahua who suffers from seperation anxiety. This IMMEDIATELY calmed him to the point where he went to another level of the house to sit alone. Something he has never done before.
The smell is a little overpowering, but not incredibly unpleasant.

Strong Fake Lavender SmellAug 08, 2010 This collar might have been effective, but it smelled so strong of fake lavender that we had to throw it away. Next time, I'd try one without added scent.

Doesn't Work for All DogsJul 28, 2010 Seriously. I purchased this for my 5.5 yr old schnoodle, it actually makes his behavior worse instead of better -- more high strung, more yippy. Could be the breed, the age, or it simply just doesn't work on all dogs.
I happen to like the smell, but hate the powder residue that is left on your hands, his neck, or anything it touches (like a flea collar does), so you have to wash your hands thoroughly when coming in contact with it.
It would be nice if you could find a cheap, quick fix, but if your dog suffers from ADD, any mental or emotional disorder, or a rescue dog from a puppy mill, don't waste your time with this product as it will do NOTHING to calm or correct your pet's behavior. Maybe it does work -- for "normal" dogs.
Go to your vet and get REAL medicine from an authorized doctor and treat the problem correctly, like you would do for a human.

Oof! What a strong smell!Jun 10, 2010 I thought I'd try this to help my 4 month old GSD puppy calm down during car rides. I tried it out on him just to see if he'd react at all to it at home and he seemed to be as overwhelmed by the "lavendar" smell as I was! The only change in behavior I saw was my puppy frantically trying to figure out where the smell was coming from. I think the scent is intended to please us humans but it was just so powerful, it was sickening! I soon took the collar off of him and stuck it (in a sealed plastic bag) in my pet closet. By the next morning, my boyfriend asked why the closet "smelled so awful". I had to throw it out.
