Arrived okMay 15, 2013
By CJP-NHRecords Staff Arrived in good shape. Have not yet installed but there were no directions in the box. Hope it works when I replace the old one with this one but didn't see the metal plugs as the photo shows when opening the box. This is a WAY better alternative and I wish I had thought about it ...Mar 23, 2015
By Duke Snyder put this filter inline on my shower massage hose to remove rust. I replace it every other month so it's about $60 a year. I had tried the version that mounts directly to the pipe (shower head filter) but that was $50 every filter change and it lasted about 4 weeks before the rust just filled up the filter cartridge. This is a WAY better alternative and I wish I had thought about it prior to paying $80. I bought (2) brass nipples and (2) hose clamps for about $10 and I just un-thread them when it's time to change and put on the new filter. About 5 minutes. Just remember to cycle the water thru the new filter before jumping in. It comes out blue gray for a few minutes (they all do that). Hope this alternative helps the rest of you save money and actually decide what filter to use as there are dozens of inline styles like this.

Tested the water and it does almost nothing...waste of money in my opinion.

By tuffy This was a great buy for the money. It was the exact same part number that I was going to order from Watts and found them on Amazon for half the price. Great deal.
Great Water FilterDec 13, 2013

The price is right. Lowes sells them for twice as much. It is just as good and works on any inline filter.
